Hello Dungeon Explorers!

Mega Dungeon Month is only a couple weeks away! BackerKit says it's The biggest names in Tabletop RPGs. More dungeon content than any sane person could need. I don't know anything about how much dungeon cibtebt breaks the line of sanity, but I do know I'm super excited to see what everyone will be doing in April.

As part of Mega Dungeon Month, Goodman Games has a new Castle Whiterock project coming out for DCC RPG and Fifth Edition (5e). They've invited a few friends to join them and we gladly accepted!

Our offering for Mega Dungeon Month is a Castle Whiterock Tie-In we're calling The Carnivorous Cauldron. Like Castle Whiterock, we're supporting both DCC RPG and Fifth Edition (5e). Additionally, we'll have maps and new dice to go with it, just like our previous projects.

The story is the same in both versions, but this isn't just a simple stat-swap. Each version is tailored to the system and audience it supports.

The DCC RPG version, designed by Julian Bernick and Chris Williams, is filled with classic B&W DCC RPG old school art by industry veteran Dan Smiith and includes hand painted maps by Brett Hess. This adventure is intended for 4-6 PCs of 4th level.

The Fifth Edition (5e) version, converted by Scott Moore, is loaded with beautiful color art and maps by Raven Evermoor. This adventure is for 4-6 PCs of 8th level.

No matter which one you pick, you and your players are in for a great experience.

In addition to the maps in the book, we also offer printed poster maps for each version! These high quality maps look equally great on your wall or your game table.

The Carnivorous Cauldron Awaits!
4 months ago – Thu, Feb 12, 2026 at 08:07:14 AM

As Mega Dungeon Month creeps closer and closer, we figured it was a good time for an update on our next project: The Carnivorous Cauldron.

What is The Carnivorous Cauldron?
The Carnivorous Cauldron is an 8th-level 5E adventure and a 4th level DCC RPG adventure that can stand alone, or serve as a weird introduction to the Castle Whiterock mega-dungeon. Goodman Games generously reached out to those of us active in the third-party publishing world to ask whether we would be interested in producing materials to support their Castle Whiterock campaign.

The DCC and 5e versions may tell the same story, but they do it in their own way. This isn't just a stat-block swap. We've worked to capture the distinct flavor of both systems, not just in the writing, but the art, maps, and layout are all attuned to their system.

What is Castle Whiterock?
Castle Whiterock is "a classic castle-themed mega-dungeon. This huge boxed set holds books, poster maps, and more than 700 pages of adventure content. The challenges herein can fuel a campaign for years. The 5E boxed set takes 5E characters from 1st through 15th level, and the DCC RPG edition takes DCC RPG characters from 1st through 7th level."

What is Mega Dungeon Month?
"For the first time ever, the titans of RPG, Goodman Games, Kobold Press, Monte Cook Games, and Explore Dungeons, descend together into a single, epic collab-funding event. An entire month-long celebration of dungeons at their most dangerous, deadliest, and most dazzling. Expect towering tomes packed with peril, treasure hoards beyond imagining, and unforgettable encounters forged by the greatest minds in modern RPGs."

But what is The Carnivorous Cauldron—really?
The Carnivorous Cauldron is a weird, fun adventure set in a twisted subterranean garden vault filled with Three-eyed goblins, psychic flowers, plant people, un-dead botanists, and of course... a carnivorous cauldron.

The Carnivorous Cauldron can be dropped into any subterranean campaign, run as a one-shot, or used in conjunction with Castle Whiterock.
